3 Breweries You Need to Visit in the Maine Brewers’ Guild

The non-profit trade association known as the Maine Brewers’ Guild includes over 100 different breweries! So, whether you’re into hoppy IPAs or crisp ciders, there are plenty of options to satisfy your thirst. Here are a few of the many excellent breweries to visit near Topside Inn:

1. Boothbay Craft Brewery

First up on our list is the Boothbay Craft Brewery, which is less than ten minutes away from our inn. Don’t let the small stature of the brewery fool you — there are so many delicious beers and friendly staff members waiting inside. Their rotating selection includes a barrel-aged sour, juicy IPA, vanilla porter, and even a doppelbock with notes of maple, bacon, and waffles!

If you’d like to check out the Boothbay Craft Brewery, make sure you take advantage of our VIP Brewery Tour special! It’s the best way to experience this local hotspot.

2. Oxbow Brewing Company

Another excellent destination for craft beer fans is the Oxbow Brewing Company. Their location in Newcastle, ME, lets you unwind with your favorite beverage in a peaceful atmosphere. All of their beers are brewed within a renovated barn in a beautiful section of rural Maine. Step inside the taproom next door to see their selection and grab a seat outside to soak in the scenery.

3. Monhegan Brewing Company

Of course, a list of the top breweries in the Boothbay Harbor area isn’t complete without the Monhegan Brewing Company. Here, you can sip beer and support a fantastic, family-owned business that’s a short cruise away from our inn. You’ll immediately notice how well they’ve captured the essence of coastal Maine and the laid-back vibes of Monhegan Island. You can enjoy all of the fun activities and restaurants on the island, and then sit back and relax with a drink at the brewery.
